Muskrat in Wolfeboro Bay
I was sitting down near the Wolfeboro town docks last night when my girlfriend spotted something in the water. I ran down and got as close as possible; while trying to make sure it didn’t dive underwater. After a few seconds I realized it was a Muskrat! I like that word.
This Muskrat swims around Wolfeboro bay all the time. It has been around for a while actually. If you look underneath the Gas Dock, behind Dive Winnipesaukee, you can see the pile of empty muscle shells. It has been feasting under there for quite some time!
As far at this photo goes, this was one of those times when I wished I had it on “Auto” mode. I had been taking pictures of the clouds before this, and had left my exposure setting turned down -1.7. What that means is that it made the picture darker and slowed my shutter speed down, so it was harder to get the photo! Luckily I have Photoshop Lightroom and was able to save this photo a bit.
