Brewster Flowers HDR - Stewart Mellentine
Stewart Mellentine contacted me the other day asking if I would like to use one of his photos for a post on Daily Wolfeboro. I looked through the ones that he suggested and thought that this would be a nice photo to share. I may be a little biased, but I do like the “Ac” at Brewster Academy. It brings back memories of when I went there. Also, I thought this was a cool shot to share because it is HDR. I can’t remember off the top of my head if I have posted any HDR shots before. It is a technique where you blend multiple exposures of the same shot together to form a more colorful exposure by expanding the range of highlights and shadows.
Now, I’ll turn it over to Stewart:
“Having grown up in the desert, I’ve always been amazed at the architecture of New England prep academies. These schools have been around longer than Arizona has been a state. So while the rest of the house slept off a rough night spent at the Wolfe Trap, I grabbed the camera and the dog at sunrise and headed to town. This is what I found.”
Photo: Canon EOS 50D, EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, 3 exposure bracketing @ f/9, ISO 500, HDR.
