I have always gone out and cut down a tree. I’m pretty sure that I went every year with my mother to go get the tree. Because of growing up that way, I am not a big fan of plucking one off the pile in a parking lot. I guess I am a purist. I want to see my tree, stretch my arm up and see if it will fit in the house, and then get down under the branches and put the saw to it.
Yesterday I went up to Bald Peak Christmas Tree Farm in Tuftonboro, NH. I have gone up there to get trees for the past few years. It has become “the spot” where I go now. It was perfect yesterday. There were people roaming through the trees, a few dogs on leashes running around (including Ambert), and the snow had started to fall. It was basically like a movie.
So, here is the info on the place where I went:
BALD PEAK CHRISTMAS TREE FARM
Route 171, Tuftonboro, NH (It’s on the left after Sodom Rd. if you are coming from Wolfeboro.)

Excellent shot. This brings me back to the days when my family would go to the Bald Peak Tree Farm (which wasn’t too far away, as we lived on Northline Rd. in Tuftonboro) and pick out a tree each year. I miss the ‘boros, and your photography helps me keep in touch with home. Keep up the good work!
